Georgia Aquarium
Join us for a day trip to the Georgia Aquarium with an optional visit to either the World of Coca-Cola or The Center for Civil and Human Rights (Note: The World of Coca-Cola and Center for Civil and Human Rights are both offered as upgrades and an additional fee will be included). We will visit the Western Hemisphere’s Largest Aquarium with Whales, Sharks, FISH, Gators, Penguins, FISH, Sting Rays, Dolphins, Sea Lions… and did we mention FISH?! Walkthrough this massive Aquarium, exploring its 7 different zones featuring everything from common aquatic animals to the more exotic. Visit the largest reef exhibits in the world and enjoy the interactive touch pools. The newest gallery has now opened – SHARKS! PREDATORS OF THE DEEP. While here, you can enjoy lunch, on your own, at the Aquarium Café and take in the shows at your leisure.
Adjacent to the Georgia Aquarium are both the World of Coca-Cola and the Center for Civil and Human Rights. If you wish, you may upgrade your trip during checkout and you will have the option to leave the Aquarium and visit either site as a 2nd stop. Both sites are located adjacent to the Aquarium, and we will meet in the Courtyard between the 3 Museums to depart.
The World of Coca-Cola showcases the history of the Coca-Cola company with its strong roots right here in Georgia. See the vault where the secret formula is secured, memorabilia from around the world and meet the Coca Cola Polar Bear. See how the bottling process works, visit the 3-D Theater for a journey around the world in search of the Secret Formula. Sample different beverages from around the world and see which is your favorite.
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, which opened in 2014, is a museum and human rights organization in Atlanta that inspires people to tap their own power to change the world around them. The Center’s iconic exhibitions feature the papers and artifacts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; the history of the US civil rights movement; and stories from the struggle for human rights around the world today.
Following our tour, we will meet in the courtyard connecting each of the 3 stops, and will return home to Del Webb.
